| Annual NFIA Outstanding Public Servant Award Banquet March 1st, 2008 |

The North Fairhaven Improvement Association is pleased to announce that their annual “Outstanding Public Servant Awards Banquet” will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2008 and the major recipient this year will be Gerry Payette. Mr. Payette has been a postal carrier in Fairhaven for twenty-seven years, a member of the V.F.W. and D.A.V. and a main organizer for the local food pantry.
Also during the evening Chief Gary Souza will offer recognition from the police department to Police Detective Glenn Souza, Chief Timothy Francis from the fire department will recognize Firefighter Brian Riggs, and Superintendent Dr. Robert Baldwin from the school department will recognize Principal Christine Hardman for their specific accomplishments.
This event will be held at the Century House, 107 South Main St., Acushnet. Cocktail hour is 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. N.F.I.A. will begin the program by installing its current slate of officers for calendar year 2008. A family style, all you can eat, sit down dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. Ticket price is $30.00.
No tickets will be available at the door that evening. Please order earlier.
